At British Orchard Nursery, we encourage all children to wear uniform. It provides a sense of unity and equality. Uniform is also a very good safety measure, when the Nursery conducts school trips. Uniform is available in both summer and winter styles and can be purchased from your nearest branch.

Our Nursery fees vary depending on the location of the Branch. You will need to contact the individual branch in order to obtain their fees.

British Orchard Nursery is one of the Middle East's first nursery chains to be ISO 9001:2008, quality certified and is the most awarded Nursery chain throughout the Middle East. We have established a tradition of achieving high standards, which has helped us develop and grow as a Nursery school. In our special Baseline Report, parents are given periodic updates and reports to help monitor the progression of their child's development and growth, making these records useful for the progression to Primary School.

Yes of course! You can contact the individual branch you wish to visit and make a booking to secure a guide for your visit. Visiting hours can vary across branches.

Yes. We do! We have our own Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), who regularly attends each branch, and supports teachers with observations and Parent meetings. A meeting or prior communication may be required with the SENCO, before registration is taken.

Yes. We provide transportation in all of our branches. Confirmation for the Bus service would need to be provided by the Bus Coordinator before the transportation service commences. All of our buses are fitted with lap belts, tinted windows and Air conditioning. Our drivers are well experienced with UAE traffic systems and are also professionally trained alongside our Bus Coordinators by the RTA.

We have a NO NUT policy at British Orchard Nursery. This ensures that children with Nut allergies do not come into contact with Nuts. We also ensure no sharing of food takes place throughout the Nursery.

We have our Sickness Policy in place at the Nursery to ensure, the safety and wellbeing of the children at all times. Children should not be sent to school with any of the following conditions:

  • Fever greater than 37.5 C / Rash (with or without fever)
  • Diarrhoea / Vomiting
  • Breathing difficulties or persistent cough / Conjunctivitis or eye infection


Any child suffering from a contagious condition that warrants the prescription of antibiotics should be kept at home during the first 48 hours after starting the course of antibiotics and will not be admitted to the Nursery during this period.

The school nurse takes random temperatures of students each morning. In accordance with Ministry guidelines any child found with a temperature over the 37.5 normal ranges will be sent home, no exceptions to this will be made.

This school policy is in place to prevent the spread of infection and to ensure the well-being of both the child who is ill and to prevent other children and staff from suffering with the same symptoms and therefore unable to attend the Nursery. It is our intention to ensure the well-being of all of the children in our care at all times.

At British Orchard Nursery, we encourage healthy diets. We therefore advise parents to provide their child with food which is easy to handle and eat. Parents can send a variety of items which can include; sandwiches, pasta, rice, yoghurt, fruit and vegetable snacks. We do not allow the children to consume sweets, chocolate or fizzy drinks in the Nursery.

Unfortunately we do not provide food for the children in the Nursery. This is due to allergies being present in many children and also Nursery Staff. We have a strict No Nut policy throughout all of our Nurseries, in order to help control and manage food stuffs.

On a daily basis, you should pack a small bag for your child. Inside should be a snack for the morning and more if they stay later. A water bottle should be inside, alongside with a pair of spare clothes. Diapers and Wipes can be brought to the Nursery to be stored.

Our main communication method is via email and the Communicator Application. Regular updates and important information is relayed across these platforms, with the addition of Social Media (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter). Monthly Newsletters are also sent out to all Parents and are available in the Reception area of each branch.

Our unique Home School Book is also provided to all of our children, giving a weekly update on their activities and any upcoming events for the following week. Messages can be conveyed to the Teacher through the Home School Book if Parents are unable to meet with the teacher.

All staff are appropriately qualified before joining our team here and take part in regular training of up to 20 hours per year on subjects such as but not limited to; special educational needs, health and safety, food hygiene, fire safety, plus educational training. The process of selecting staff here at British Orchard Nursery is very important to us; command of the British language is paramount as well as educational background. Many of our staff have obtained qualifications in fields such as Early Years, Special Educational needs, and Early Years Physical Development.

At British Orchard Nursery, We follow the EYFS curriculum and adhere to the guidelines set by OFSTED, which is the British regulatory body for schools and Nurseries in the UK. The curriculum's intention is to ensure that every child is considered a competent learner, from birth and with the nurturing support of adults they can become resilient, capable and self-assured.

At British Orchard Nursery, all lessons and activities are taught in English, with the exception of Arabic and French lessons. Language lessons are included as part of our curriculum, to those who attend Nursery and Foundation classes.

As a Parent, you are able to decide which option suits you best. There are 5 day and also 3 day options available. Consecutive days are advised in order to maintain and establish a good routine.

British Orchard Nursery is both a Pre-School and Nursery, catering for children from the age of 45 days, up to the age of 5 years.
